fuel pump

My 1995 850 Turbo's fuel pump went out. I found one without install
directions in the box. There is a gray finned plastic cap around the old
pump. How does it come out? Is it threaded? I have been alternating
between my thumb and an old nut driver trying to budge it to no effect.
