I called AAA to come and open the car because I lost the remote and
needed to use a key (and the key I have works for the ignition but not
for the door). AAA opened the car, the alarm went crazy. AAA told me
that it would last 15 minutes and then go off, but it must have lasted
longer than that because the battery was fine before this and now it
is dead. It is a relatively new battery. So now I have no remote, a
dealer in Boston charges a ripoff price to even program a remote. I
am trying to get a remote through another source. Question is, if I
call AAA again and have them jumpstart the battery before I get the
remote, will the alarm then go off again or would that have been
disabled because the battery died? I do not want to have the car
towed to the Boston Volvo people because they are unreasonable and not
nice to deal with.

the relay box should be in the engine compartment aft,port. (under the
bonnet all the way back on the right.) if you are lucky the lid will
have a descriptive list of the relays. if not, internet. i wouldn't
pull it though. Myst (my r) would get pissed, but pulling it
temporarily to reset the system is fine. you could also just
disconnect the battery.

Port == left
Starboard == right

But you realized that as soon as you hit "send"...

If you want to reduce the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere,
go plant trees.

sorry Gary port has never = left. port does not move w/ your body. if
you are facing forward port is to your left. if you are facing aft
port is to your right.

i would have said drivers side but some of you drive assbackwards. the
nautical rules of the road are luckily constant. everyone passes port
to port, or well they hit each other.
