Engine revs while in Park

    I drive a 2000 Volvo S80 with 75k miles on it. Overall a great car. Over the past few months there have been some issues. About 2-3 times per month, the car will have difficulty starting. I live in SW Florida so it is not due to cold weather. The battery is strong. It has no trouble turning over, it just won't engage. After trying a couple times it starts up. Also, recently it has revved while in Park right after starting. It revs rhythmically from 1000 to 4000 rpms, for about 30 seconds or so, then levels out. My ABS light has been on, if that helps.

    Any ideas?
