You can actually pry the switch assembly out without removing the door
panel, but I've never done it, or seen it done without leaving at least
a small gouge in the surround. To remove the door panel, after removing
the screw, remove also the surround on the inner release handle (hard to
remove and sharp enough to cut you!) Then there's clips around the
lower half of the door panel, just pull it out. I always start at the
lower front corner. It's hooked over the top, with the bottom release,
push up to unhook it. There are a couple of wires to disconnect, make
sure you remember to reconnect them when you put the panel back on.
Note you don't need to (and can't) remove the lock button, and if you
try to twist it off you'll wreck it.
