Can anyone explain to me how the rear 'seat' speakers work in a 2000 C70
(w/surround sound). Regardless of the switch position, I hear no difference.
I do feel some vibration only when sitting in the seats... I would have to
beleive I should be able to hear something - unless they are blown out??
The door speakers were... hence my concern.. thanks!

check here http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerosearch and search for c70 sub
(or subwoofer) as well as search on "pro logic". There has been a lot
written in the last year or so.

You may or may not have the volvo "sub"woofers behind the rear seat. Coupes
are different from convertibles. Finally, test the rear speakers using a cd.
pro logic doesn't do much with FM.

Thanks PS..

Great site... I did figure out what was going on.. After re-reading the
book, I finally realized I needed to pull the buttons out further in order
to increase/decrease the subs... yep, they're there alright! BTW, it's the
convertible...

Thanks again!

In case you didn't know, you may have Dynaudio drivers in the car; they
don't come much finer than that!

So you have speakers behind the rear seat, then there should be a switch on
the center console facing the back seats to turn them off, if you so desire.
The speakers behind the seats would be dual woofers in addition to the
drivers in the rear side panels. The C70 has one of the finest oem systems
ever installed, anywhere. Look in your trunk, fiddling with some of the
panels you might be able to see the backs of the "subs" and get a part#. It
will likely be labeled Volvo Dynaudio. Also, if there should be an
auxilliary amp (located in the trunk towards the rear driver's side behind
the cover panels). Drop me an email at p s h

and I will send you some detailed volvo product literature from that era.
