Hello,

Does anyone know what the fix for climate control fane stuck on high is?
Also, apparently unrelated problem is that the radio code is not retained but
it has to be re entered every time the car is started.

The fan speed control module which is a resistor package is probably
defective. I guess the radio is installed in a way that when the fan starts
up at full power the voltage at the radio gets that low that it needs the
code again.

I did not open the unit but it is not like the old style unit with a bunch of
power resistors. Instead it feels like the indented potentiometer that
connects to some sort of electronic speed control.

Its not the control unit that hold the resistors, they are placed in the
mail air channel.
Have to look more into it to be 100% certain. Does the S40 have a fualt lamp
for the climate control system where you can read error codes?

Greetings Niels
