stripes on V50 rear side window?

My V50 has red vertical stripes on the driver's side rear window (over the
cargo area) but not on the passenger side. Does this mean it is heated -
same sort of colour as the heating stripes on the tailgate window) or what?
Why only one side?

Thanks - I had not thought of that - so what is the fin on the roof: the VHF
aerial and the stripes are MW/LW?

I believe the fin on the roof is the GPS antenna and the cellular phone
antenna.

says, that on cars without GPS, only a termination device is installed
instead of active antenna.

I suppose the radio antenna stripes on the rear window are only on
one side because the radio receiver unit is installed there somewhere
near on that side.

In the USA several makes claim a 'diversity' antenna system where there are
'several' antennas in a car and somehow the unit uses the 'best'
signal...perhaps the Volvos use that too?

Our 940 wagon has the antenna in the left back side glass (that I know of)
our 850 sedan has a conventional power rod (that we know of...)
