The beat up Dec 97 white volvo T5 ex police with 196,000 sold for 1700
pounds. This is with poverty spec, poor paint work where holes in roof
have been painted etc, bits of trim missing from inside and holes in
dash. If some poor sole has bought it thinking its a bargain they
going to get a big shock when they try to insure it or when it needs
repairs. Saying that the winning bidder is 0 rated and only registered
a day or so before the end.

Or you could have this for 450 more. 1 private owner red T5 SE spec
(with cream leather seats, cruise control, climate control, pioneer
stereo system etc) and only 141,000 spec. A Feb 99 model as opposed to
Dec 97 for the police one. Also came with the reg S70 TRB. That was
    sold for 2150.

    Which would you rather have?

I had a look and the car sold for 1040 ukp prolly the late arrival zero
rated bidder was a friend of the seller to boost up the price.

Darren (Dazza) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :
"comes with a unique registration number"

    <grits teeth>

EVERY FUCKING CAR ON THE ROAD COMES WITH A UNIQUE REGISTRATION NUMBER (or
    should...)

Not my old man's Rover 214. It was well and truly written off thanks to a
bloke in a white van who decided that the best way to turn right onto a main
road, just after a blind bend, was to pull halfway across the road and wait.
My brother came round the blind bend and proved him wrong. What remained of
the car was removed to the big road in the sky and forgotten about until a
speeding ticket came through the post several months later...
