The wiper arm on the passenger side does not maintain contact with the
windshield for the complete swipe anymore. This started very recently.
It will maintain contact on the passenger side until about midway thru
the stroke. When it gets about midway up, it lifts off the windshield.
I tried a new wiper blade with no luck. Even the original Volvo blade
will not make contact with the windshield. At full stroke, which it is
almost vertical above the drive side windshield, the blade is about 1
- 1.5 inches above the windshield. I tried to see if I could bend the
wiper arm, but it doesn't want to budge.
Is there some kind of adjustment that needs to be done to the linkage
or something? I examined the arm and there is no way to force it down
other than bending the wiper arm. To my knowledge nothing has happened
to the wiper arm. It looks normal to me.
Anyone have any ideas???
Thanks in advance.
