I have seen many of the posts about poor AM reception and have not checked to see if the car has the Volvo "fix" brass strap and since I do not listen to AM radio it did not bother me much. However, I have noticed that FM radio is poor compared to my 1995 F150. Plus if I have my phone plugged into the lighter charging, I get almost no radio reception, AM or FM. CD's play fine all the time.
I have the HU-611 and have been thinking about replacing it with a Bluetooth aftermarket receiver.
Does this sound like the typical Volvo poor reception antenna issue or some thing else?
