Can anyone tell me where the service port is on my 89 240? I've
looked everywhere, and the only ports I can find are both on the
drier, and neither is a fitting that appears of have a Shraeder valve.
I bought a conversion kit from a Volvo source that has the fittings
(they say), but I can find the ports they are supposed to go on. Any
    help would be much appreciated!

Im no auto A/C expert, but - -
My '86 240 has the newer style compressor (rotary, not piston-type), and
is likely the same as your '89. The service ports on mine are at the
rear of the compressor, on the underside. Not easy to get to from the
    top of the car.

You may have an after market compressor and drier. Check the back side of
    the compressor.
