Thinking about buying a 740 estate but one that has 7 seats. Were
their any particular versions that had 7 seats? Had a look at at a GL
(J reg) today but did not have 7 seats.

    Thanks

The seats were an option in the 700 and 900 series wagons, and if I am not
mistaken, the 200 series as well. Thus, not all models had the seats, as
they take up trunk space and are useless if you don't haul around 7
people... as the car does seat 5 comfortably.

HAHAHAHA.... nice, well I know that a 2001 V70 2.4T can hold at least 9,
that is how many people a friend of mine had to put in hers.... it was just
for 2-3 minutes on private property to get across to the other side.

I've been in a Chevrolet Cavalier with 7 people in it... that wasn't much
    fun.

I of course meant by seating 5 that it goes up to its LEGAL capacity quite
    nicely ;-).

The 740`s that were the 7 seater ones tends to hold the price better than the
normal estates and were certainly more desirable, so I would imagine you would
have a harder time finding one. Best of luck!

  6. From a point at sea, to the circles of your mind, this is Yosef:
The rear-most seats can be bought to retro-fit into any 700
estate/wagon. Keep your eye on the small ads or eBay - they often come
    up.
