740 Rear Springs

Discussion in 'Volvo 740' started by not hereplease, May 28, 2004.

  1. I have an 88 740 estate with self levelling shocks.
I am going to change the self levelling shocks to new standard shocks
replacing the rear springs with those from a breaker.
Are the rear springs on the estate the same as on a saloon.

The springs are interchangeable but are heavier on the estate. Often
saloon owners will put springs from the estate on if they often haul
heavy loads. I wouldn't recommend going the other way.
