We had a problem recently with one cylinder not firing - loss of
power, lots of shaking, particularly at idle and low speeds. It was
diagnosed as a faulty power stage, which was replaced at not
inconsiderable cost. Ouch.
Since then, or shortly thereafter, there's what feels like a
transmission problem on low gradients; going up an incline of maybe 1
in 20 - I don't know, a little steeper than flat but not much -
there's a sort of slip-and-catch feel, like it's not quite decided
what gear it ought to be in.
I don't think it's a transmission problem, as it happens at the same
place at the same revs in both normal and sport modes, which should,
so I understand, cause the gear shifts to happen later.
It's been like this for two or three weeks now, and doens't appear to
be getting bettor or worse. Is it possible or likely that this is tied
to the replacement of the power stage?
Thanks all.
