98 V70 traction cables/chains

do the "S" designated chains work on the V70?The dealer is trying to say
only Volvo authorized chains will work,does anyone know what the authorized
chains are[manufacturer]?

Some will and some won't. If you use Volvo chains and they cause
problems, then it won't void a warranty. If you are not under warranty,
then use whatever you want. Then you have to live with the consequences.
