I have 1998 V70 R AWD. As the roads in the area I live are far from
perfection (including bumpy forest roads), nearly from the beginning I
decided to change 205/45R17 tyres to 205/55R16 seeing (and feeling in my
back) certain improvement. I am thinking about going one step further with
    winter tyres (205/65R15). I have heard that R15 rims from 850 and 960 (95-
on) should be OK, but does anybody have any experience in that matter? I am
afraid I may have some problems (eg with the brakes), perhaps there are also
    other obstacles?
    Thanks,
    Marek

  2. You should be OK. I think walmart and canadian tire sell steel rims very
cheaply. I think the brakes will clear, the only issue is with the bigger
brakes installed on some cars. What size is the spare? It's probably 15
in, then you should be ok

you have to keep the same tire dimensions.
In winter I use a 195-65-15 and I run in the summer 205-55-16
not a problem, and man does it handle crazy in the snow.
    I also have a 98 R
