dog bones..??

  1. anyone ever swapped out the upper & lower dog bone, shaped rear axel
    suspension braces? how long of a job is this? something a shadetree
    set can handle...or, more of a dealer / volvo shop item??

  2. What car?

    There are things that sound like your description on a 740 (torque
    rods). They run longitudinally in a subframe.

    Easy enough to do if you have clear access under the car; I ran the
    back wheels up some ramps. The top one is a bit awkward to get a
    spanner on, but not impossible. If the rubber bushes need changing
    this can be done by hacking out the old ones and squeezing in the new
    ones with a big vice and some soapy water. If you are just replacing
    the whole rod, then it could be a half hour job (which means allow two
    hours).

    When replacing the rods you may have to put a jack under the nose of
    the differential to get the bolt holes to align.

    afternoon...i just don't want to get things undone, and find out i
