I currently own a 1980 262C, and the past couple weeks i've had some
problems starting the car. The car had total gut transplant to a 1985 240
B230 F motor and tranny 5 years ago. The car starts right up but then dies,
even if you give it plenty of gas. You really have to rev the engine in
order for it to start. At first the problem was occuring intermittently,
and more so when the gas tank was getting lower. But now it will barely
start at all, even with a full gas tank. Once the car is on the road it has
no problems, but even after the engine is warm if i shut it off and try to
restart it, the same thing happens. Any ideas or a checklist on things i
should be looking at?

Sounds like you need to start checking the fuel supply. Start with a
new filter. Make sure the tank is properly vented (try with the gas cap
loose), make sure that both pumps are working properly and that the hose
from tank pump to sender pipe is not split.
