I just purchased a 740 turbo 1990 volvo yesterday and am getting ready to make this car mine. I have two issues. the first one is driving my wife nuts! the car will not turn over unless you ground out the positive and negative cables on the solenoid first about 1/5 of the time first. Can I just replace the solenoid, does it need to be regrounded, or should the whole starter and solenoid be replaced?

2nd is the fuel pump under the drivers seat is making a winding ratting noise when it is running. I am thinking this is going bad cause if its not its really noisey! :D

    What yah all think?
