My wife's car started blowing fuses, 87 740 wagon, when the fuse goes it
renders the power windows, turn signals, and the ac inopperative, being
texas and very hot this really pisses the S.O. off to no end. Last night I
believe it was fuse number 6, a small 15 amp fuse. Please help, she's
starting to get hot and bothered, and not in a good way.

Actually turns out it was fuse number 9, must be a little dyslexic.

When does it blow? Randomly? When the AC is on? When the windows are used?
Could be a stuck window switch, bad motor, mechanism in need of grease, bad
AC clutch solenoid, damaged wire insulation, etc. You'll have to do a bit of
    detectivework.

  4. Since the compressor was replaced, I would check the wire leading to the A/C
clutch. This wire sometimes gets pinched. You might want to add additional
    insulation under the clamp. Bill
