What do you mean? Is the lambda warning light illuminated, or is the
output of the O2 sensor high and not oscillating?

In my 240 the lambda light was on a timer that turned it on after a set
number of miles as a reminder to have the emissions system inspected.
Later US spec cars have onboard diagnostics that store fault codes, but
depending on where you are that might not be the case.
