I don't usually pass these things around but I believe it would help if we
all got involved on this one.

THIS IS BECOMING A REAL HARDSHIP ON EVERYONE AND FOR "NO" REASON.

THEY DON'T "HAVE" TO RAISE THE GAS PRICES LIKE THEY HAVE BUT THEY ARE

"WHY" BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING RICH. MOST OF YOU THAT ARE WORKING HAVE A
    PERSONAL

DAY YOU CAN USE ON THE 19TH TO HELP GET THE MESSAGE ACROSS THAT "WE

THE PEOPLE" ARE FED UP WITH THE HIGH GAS PRICES.

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID

NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME,

THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT

WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS,
    WHICH

AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN

FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR behind" DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS

NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS
    CAN

BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN, AND AS

QUICKLY AS YOU CAN-GET THE WORD OUT! WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP

IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE

REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS
    AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE

SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE

FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS

SHIPPED, THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES

ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T

GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR

PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR

CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED

    STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

You can't be fed up you still vote republican, you still think the junkie in
office was elected and you do not even know that 83.5 percent % of USA crude oil
comes from Mexico,Canada, and USA, what the Wogs do or don't do is irrelevant
,its all smoke and mirrors so the already rich republicans can get richer, just
like in'71 and '73,all you stupid greedy republicans did it to yourselves
    again!!!!!

It's not often I have the pleasure of saying this but...

    QUIT WHINING! :)

When your petrol price is anything vaguely on the same planet as what it
costs most of the rest of the world then I'll listen.

Highest UK price is presently something like $8.80 per imperial gallon.

    Locally it's about $6.70.

Remind me again how much yours is?...

    :)

Can you provide any facts to substantiate this rather silly partisan
diatribe? Somehow, I don't think you can.....! For openers, your percentages
are way off.....we get more than 60% of our oil these days from countries
other than those you mentioned. The original thought behind doing this was
to burn up somebody else's natural resources rather than our own. Like many
other "politically correct" notions, it sounds good but doesn't work in
    practice.

Personally, I think we should tell the Arabs to drink the oil and refuse to
buy any from them and refuse to trade with any country that does. We should
deal ONLY with countries that play fair and with an even-handed approach to
market economics. It's time the Arabs learned that they need us more than we
    need them....

.... and the useless rambling goes on...

Do you honestly have any idea how much YOU yanks would have to pay for
your gasoline, if YOU imported it in real, global market price. Shame on
    you!

This is exactly what happens, when you start unjustified wars and stick
your nose in other people's business. I sincerely hope that you will
start to see gas prices close to USD 6.00 per gallon. Then YOU know how
much WE have to pay for our gas.

Keep on voting that idiot Bush for another term, and this BS will just
go on and on. Washington D.C. is so corrupted and blind with Saudi
Arabia, that there's no easy way out of this mess. Blame your bloody
    government!

Obviously you do not understand anything about the dynamics between
Washington D.C and Riyadh. Your leaders would be in welfare if it wasn't
the money flowing from Saudi Arabia.

And what's with this: Arabs need you more than you need them. Please let
me laugh. What's the nation that consumes most of the global resources,
including oil? You go figure that out all by yourself...

is a meaningless gesture, you and everyone else will be buying the

the price of your fuel has nothing to do with reality, your fuel costs
so much so your government can fund it's socialist policies, you may
or may not think that's a good policy, but that's irrelevant.

Right. If you really want to get their attention, don't buy anything
from a gas station that you can get anywhere else. (i.e. only buy
fuel.) No chips, no soft drinks, no engine oil, no windshield washer
fluid, no chicken nuggets, no donuts, no beer... etc. etc.

Don't be silly - The Saudis get virtually ALL their money from selling oil
to the US and the rest of the world. They "give" nothing to anyone except
    themselves and terrorists....

But then, what's the point of trying to reason with a closed mind? When
yours is opened up, try again......

How come you pay so much for your gas when your country owns one of the most
Because successive governments have decided by empirical evidence that
we (the populus) are prepared to pay for fuel which includes 80% tax to
why not tax it that much.

Having said that, the fuel blockades of a couple of years ago made for
interesting following. Nearly brought the country to a complete
    standstill.

I look forward to them again, one of my cars runs on LPG. :)

Read the above again...."those who live under socialism and have turned

is that so many Brits proclaim that they aren't socialists and aren't
supporters of Labor, but the socialist ideas prevail and Labor gets

Your prices are YOUR problem - do something about it! For openers, I suggest
you coax Lady Thatcher out of retirement and put her back in office along

Our prices are OUR problem and some of us are putting forward ways and means
