Examine carefully if all of the vacuum hoses are back in the right place

Check the operation and adjustment of the throttle position switch.
The manual states that carb cleaner should not be sprayed into the
throttle body directly, but spray it on a rag and wipe it, otherwise
cleaner can get into the switch and damage it.

Also, if the switch had been adjusted for a very dirty throttle
butterfly, the cleaning may now have it at the wrong point. Just a
thought.

Also, if you mention what car you have it might help get more specific
answers.

I use cleaner directly and have never hurt the switch, but I usually remove
the throttle body which involves removing the switch since it's in the way
of a bolt. Do make sure the switch is adjusted correctly though, it should
click just as the throttle begins to open.

what would be wring if it doesnt click could the switch be bad or just setu
up wrong

James can correct me if I am wrong, but if you loosen the switch and
turn it clockwise to the stop- then turn it counter clockwise as far
as it will go WITHOUT having it move the throttle plate at all. This
should put it at the point just before the switch engages. Tighten it
at that point. Then, with the ignition OFF, if you open the throttle
just a slight bit, you should hear the microswitch inside 'click.' it
can also be checked with an ohm meter.. all that if it is the same as
the LH 2.4 System in the B230F motor of '90... I think

I fixed the problem it was that when cleanign the throttle body i had
knocked the switch a little losse and it was sucking air around it and
also my amm censor was lose causing the problem too but after i fixed that
it seemed to be working great idling around 800 rpms instead 1500 but a few
days later my fuel pump has gone out should i spend the 140$ and get a napa
pump or at autozone they are like 35$what is the difference?

Are you sure that it is not the fuel pump relay?
