Question re: intermittent wipers

    Hi Group,

    I am two weeks into owning my new, old 1989 740 GLE 16V. Now I remember why
    I have always liked my Volvos, though I have been away for several years.

    My question today is about intermittent wipers. It seems to me that both of
    my 700 series cars from the past had intermittent wipers (Of course I could
    be wrong). This one does not. Is it easy to replay the switch stalk etc.,
    in order to supply the car with intermittent wipers?

    I've never seen a Volvo since the 1978 models without intermittent
    wipers. Is there no position above the off position on the wiper stalk,
    or does nothing happen when you lift it?
