I have a 1995 850 turbo sedan. Recently the Tracs and ABS lights started to
come on randomly. They both go out after turning off the ignition and
restarting the engine. I know the 1996 is suceptible to this (with a fix
from Victor) but I thought the 95's did not have the problem. Any advice on
why I'm getting the random lights? Seems it started after I put new tires
and rear brakes on the car ... don't know if that is relavant or not.

    Thanks.

A familiar thread on this NG, Larry - - -

Chances are good that the Right Rear rotation sensor was upset during
the process of installing the new brakes. If not functioning, it tends
to show rotational speeds that don't agree with the reports from the
other three wheels, turning on the lights.

The usual alternative problem is the more significant (read "costly")
problem - that the ABS control module has died and needs replacement.
On our '98 V70XC, this was a US$4-500 job. Happily, I'd popped for the
extended warranty, and it was covered at no cost to me.
