Rear passenger door doesn't open

    I have a 1998 s70 GLT and the rear left passenger door doesn't open from the inside or outside. I managed to get it open by removing the door panel and finding a release on the lock mechanism. I couldn't find a way to remove the lock mechanism completely in order to see what the problems were, so I couldn't fix anything. Does anyone know how I can remove the lock mechanism entirely? There seems to be a [support] bar inside the door which blocks the lock mechanism and I can't find a way to wiggle it out or anything... Any help is greatly appreciated! As a side note, I have fixed a problem with my front passenger lock mechanism and was able to pull it completely out of the door, so I'm hoping I can do the same with this rear lock!
