Remote / Security Module Current Drain ???

We have a new 2004 V70 2.5T with sports package. Great car! It goes and
stops and corners better than any of our previous Volvos. This is our first
car with any sort of remote control or security system. It's fun to join the
modern world (at least until something breaks).

I have been obsessing about one question.

Does the security / remote sensing module draw the same current in the
locked (and armed) state as it does in the unlocked (and unarmed) state. I
suspect that it does because it is just a VHF receiver and computer circuit
    that runs all the time.

Has anyone measured the current drawn from the battery of a Volvo at rest -
with and/or without the security system armed?
