S/V 40 models recalled by Volvo ?

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Jacob Christensen, Nov 29, 2003.

  1. Just saw in Danish newspapers this morning that Volvo V/S40 2003-2004
models have some sort of petrol leak - Volvo estimates that 71.000
cars are affected and will be called in - Does anyone here know more
    about this ?

    Regards, Jacob

My 2003-V40 car is being recalled for a condition involving possible
insufficient end-cap fixation of fuellines. A condition which might
lead to fuel leakage. Basically the recall involvess a checkup.
I suspect that the reason for the large number of cars being recalled
is that no specific cut-off date (when the fixation problem started)
could be established. The solution is an additional fixation.
