s40 needs your help

Ok so going on a 80 mile trip about 30 miles in set cruise control 80mph smooth ok start up a pass car down shifts information says over heating pull over and shuts off so I put in neutral and coast as much as I can when I get to a stop yup opened hood and to me looks like oil so that means tow truck smh means money that I don't have all have to get. ok so 380 bill that stings writing it so power wash and just down half quart oil so???? that don't make sence so check coolant 2 gallons down after iam topping off yeah I hear it running off but I can see upper radiator hose leaking hell yeah call oriellys the said give 24 so today replace hose buy more coolant and notice leaking some more on bac side of motor smh smh question is this common when coolant hose breaks they all do?? Well before I notice leak I put key in and tried starting and it has like a weak starter or sound just weird why ??? is there anything else how do I fix that do I read codes then ease iam lost
