Can any damage occur from having 1 quart too much transmission fluid in
there? I'm not sure if it is low or not and I don know what would happenn if
I over fill by just that one quart.

    Cheers,

  2. You might get "foaming" with too much transmission fluid. Foam
does not compress like liquid and will make the transmission
    feel like it's slipping. I just bought a '87 760Ti "bad
transmission" for $200 (hehehe). Took 1.5 quarts out of the
overfull trans, freed up the kickdown cable and it shifts just
    fine now.

Similar story: Just bought an '85 245DL for $50. Some holes in
the floor, but runs like a dream.
