I have a 2001 V40 which I have had for two years and am quite happy with. However, the other day I put some petrol in as the warning light came on. Starting the car up again I noticed the the fuel warning light was still on and that the gauge had not moved off empty. Since then only once has the fuel gauge moved to it,s right position for the amount of fuel in the tank but the light has always stayed on. I now have to carry a can of fuel in the boot in case I run out.
Has anyone had the same problem and if so, whats the answer?
