The rear washer on my 2002 V70 has failed - no water. It
co-incides with a family of mice moving into the rear. I
suspect that the mice might have chewed through the
    plastic water pipe.

    Does anybody know:
    - does the V70 have a separate pump for the rear wash or
does it use a single pump and a valve?
    - where along the run can I most easily access the water
    pipe
    - where is the pump/valve

    thanks

Could easily be mice if he found them in the car, my grandma's
dishwasher recently had the drain and fill hoses both chewed to pieces
by some very industrious mice. It went from working fine to having a
sizable chunk of both rubber hoses turned completely to crumbs in the
space of a couple days so it'd be worth checking wiring too. To find the
pump, turn the accessory on without starting the engine, hold down the
washer lever, and have someone poke around and find the pump by the
sound. Inspect the hose and see if fluid is dripping out anywhere.
