My 1987 Volvo 740 is wonderful. It is safe and reliable and has taken me where I want to go for the past 14 years. But in the last couple of years has developed a sort of 'puddling' sound. I think it is coming from the belts at the front of the car behind the radiator. The belts seem to make the engine vibrate too much. The belts are very noisy and the virbration of the engine is irritating. My Volvo garage insists they can hear nothing wrong with the car despite my telling them about the noise on the past three visits. It makes the car feel 'unsafe'. The vehicle seems to be running across rough roads even though the actual road is very smooth. Any suggestions, please?
