Volvo Trucks of North America has announced the recall of certain VN
and VNM tractor trailer trucks concerning a faulty steering syste
    component

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported 23 know
crashes that resulted in two injuries as a result of the fault
steering component which could potentially fail and cause a complet
loss of steering. The trucks with the potential for steering failur
are model year 2001-2006, and were manufactured with TRW sealed dra
    links

Volvo Trucks N. America initially blamed drivers for failing t
properly maintain their trucks, before determining that it was
manufacturing defect. The total number of trucks affected by th
    recall is 63,788
