Volvo XC70 "steering lock error, try again"

This cold winters afternoon in South Africa, I droped off the help. Parked the car in the street. I unlocked the the car and tried to start later the evening. 1st message "steering lock error" 2nd message "turn steering and try agin" again, I followed the instruction, and it is back to the 1st message... Is the the beginning of the end of my Volvo xc70 (2007/08 model). If it is then it will be the last.

Interesting, I wander where the posts go into cyberspace, I see responses are limited are there people out there that actually respond to clients, someone at like Volvo or so
