Can anyone help? I'm looking to buy a 360 GLT. I want it for a major road
rally at the beginning of December. The object of the exercise is to get
something we can SERIOUS thrash around for 180 miles and 12 hours one night
without having to worry about the car needing to get us to work on Monday
morning!
The criteria are:
- cheap! Budget is £100 - £150.
- saloon / hatchback - not worried! A slight preference for a hatchback.
- mechanical condition - engine, transmission and brakes have GOT to work,
obviously!! Although not worried if it needs new pads/disks, tyres, oil
change, etc, etc.
- bodywork - not too worried, as long as there aren't gaping holes or
serious structural rust. Not at all worried by peeling faded paint or
bashed/scraped panels.
- interior - as untidy as you like, so long as the passenger window goes
down and up, and the speedo/milometer works. Ideally, a working heater or
heated seats would be good - it gets cold late at night in December!!
- MoT/tax - it needs to have an MoT certificate to mid-December, we're not
too worried if it won't pass an MoT when we buy, just so long as its got a
certificate. Tax would be a bonus.
As we both live "down south" (Dorset and Wiltshire/Hampshire), it would be
doubly ideal if the car was located somewhere south of Birmingham and east
of Exeter/Cardiff, but we'll travel for a good car.
So what have you got?!!?
