Hi I'm 66 years old. I have a 1979 Vovo 245 wagon that stalled sudenly at a stop light. It's a b21b motor with fuel injection. Haven't been able to get it started again. Engine cranks. I'm getting a yellow spark from the coil wire. Is it possible for a coil to fail suddenly? The spark is yellow not blue. It just smogged.
It appears that it suddenly stopped getting fuel. How do I tell if the cylinders are getting gas?
Replaced cold start injector, fuel pump, and fuel pump relay. Nothing. It was running fine and just stopped. Is there an electrical connection to a fuel system component that can suddenly fail? One of the old relays? I don't want to start tearing the fuel injection apart. I'm not even sure what I;m looking for. Would a timing belt jump cause this? how do I test timing if the car won't run?
I hate to junk it. It.s a nice old beater.
