I've been "lurking" in alt.autos.volvo for a while now, and I'm hoping
I can get answers to a few questions I have.
On my 1988 240 DL, there's a two-lead rubber coated connector near the
engine oil dipstick. It's looped around in a clip and looks like it's
some kind of test point. Anyone know what this is used for?
Another question- where is the "Fuel (line) filter" referred to in the
owner's manual? My parents owned a 240 from the early 80s, and my dad
is sure his was on the firewall near the master cylinder. Mine's
definitely not there. Did they relocate it by the 1988 models?
I've been looking through the archives here, and seen several people
have mentioned that the heater whistles when the lever isn't all the
way to the right. Mine has that problem too, but nobody seems to know
how to fix it. I thought maybe I'd see if anyone's figured it out,
though.
If anyone knows the answers so some/all these questions, I'd really
like to hear from you.
