1999 S80 Driver Window Problem

Discussion in 'Volvo S80' started by Deacon Eisenhart, Dec 21, 2005.

  1. All of a sudden one day my driver side widow seems to be misbehaving.

When I push down button, the window seems to drop faster on the right side,
causing it to wedge into the track and jam.

I took door apart and relubed track (because I couldn't see any obivously
problem). I am wondering if it jumped a gear and now it one tooth out of
sync. It seemed to work semi-fine. But, cold weather seems to keep
    wedging this window.

Anybody know the trick to getting the window aligned properly? Looks like
drilling out rivets to get a good view of the lifter is necessary and it's
damn cold where I live right now...

This car a pain in my ass, I LOVE IT. Keeps me busy worrying.

    1 - transmission $3400
1 - victor rocha brake computer repair $200

Owned for 8 months. 100k miles.
