225/50/17 tyres on v70 2005

Hi,
I need some help can I put 225/50/17 tyres on 7.5x17 orestes rims I currently use 225/45/17 on my v70 2005 D5 163 bhp thanks.
 
I have 225/50/17 Goodyear Assurance on my 2004 v70 2.5T. I'm changing out 2 of the 4 today, but they've lasted me over 4 years now. The back 2 look brand new still. We thought it would help with the tire rubbing but it didn't. It's been a great size overall though. Hope that helps.
