Re: 1984 244 diesel
I just finished replacing, calipers, pads and the master cylinder. I
filled up the system with dot 4 and bled each wheel using compressed
air ( a tool which I made) to pump the brake fluid (15psi) to each
caliper. Although there is clear fluid (no bubbles) being discharged
at each valve, the brake peddle continue to bottom out when depressed.
Since I do not have the service manual which covers the brake system,
I would appreciate any information.. I obviously missed something.
Thanks in advance.

Did you use the correct bleed order? Just do a google search for 240
brake bleed and you should find it. Also the car needs to be on a level
when you bleed it or air will be trapped.

A wild guess is that you're going the wrong way when bleeding. I learned
once that your not supposed to bleed with pressure from the refiller
cap, but with vacuum on each caliper. And each caliper has 3 bleeding
points. I may be way out here, but that always worked for me.
