Hi all,
I have a 1987 760 V6 Estate fitted with rather bald 195/60x15 tyres, the 60
profile seems rather low/sporty for general use, is there any mechanical
reason that 70 profile [195/70x15] would not fit ok?
Also any reccommendations for tyres for general UK motoring would be
appreciated.
Many thanks, Bob Green.

You could probably install them, but it would screw up your speedometer and
odometer slightly. 195-65 R15 might be a better choice, there are nice
touring tires in this size.

The Volvo 960 in the garage, and the VW Golf in the driveway both have
195/65 R15 tires. The other Golf has 175/70 R13's.

....They do exist :-). They seem almost like a step in between lower and
higher profile tires. They look like a nice sized tire in any case.

Must admit I can't recall ever seeing a 65 profile tyre before! Perhaps a 70
profile might push the petrol nearer to 20miles to the gallon!!!!!
