Just started leaking from driver's side end.

I am thinking FCP Groton or other rebuilt rather than DIY...

thoughts?

What's the job like?

It's really easy, though the tie rods can be stubborn. Remove the metal
skid plate from the crossmember, remove the hoses, the tie rods, and
there's four bolts that hold the rack in.

The tie rods are fairly easy on a ZF rack, where the tie rods are secured by
dog washers. On the cam-gear style the tie rods are staked and can be a
challenge to change. (I have to replace one on my cam-gear rack soon.)

Is rebuilding it nasty or for that matter doable?

Should I just buy the rebuilt instead?

"*-344-*Never Forgotten"
Is for the New York City Firemen who lost their lives on September 11,2001.
The official count is 343, but there was also a volunteer who lost his life
aiding in the initial rescue efforts. And I will never forget them as
long as I live,
nor should any American.
