Hi,

Just one question: Could 15" rims from a 240 find happiness mounted on a
'97 850....................?

No, the offset is different. The other way around will work with spacer
plates, but you can't go this way.

Thanks James.
Too bad.
Snow's forecast for our area. Wish I still had my '58 445 wagon ("Duet").
Semi-elliptic rear suspension with a few hundred pounds of rocks in a box in
the back.... Old style heavily lugged "snow tires".........Could go
anywhere.

Could pick up a 145, they're still not too hard to find, good solid cars
with a classic feel, and those rims will fit.

Not "145", James.............. "445"!
That wasn't a typo. Try Googling "Volvo 445". (Mine was a '58.)

'74 145; '74 142; '86 245; '93 245 Classic; '97 850 AWD wagon)

Yeah I know, just saying you can pick up a 145 more reasonably, it's an
neat old car, and those rims will go right on. I don't know if they'll
fit a 445 or not, but one of those will be a lot harder to find and
likely need a lot more work. Neat cars too though.

Thanks James. I misunderstood your remark about the 145. I should have
known better, having been impressed with your encyclopedic knowledge for
some time in these posts.
