My @#$&* windshield wipers on the drivers side ONLY, Crow hop. What
the heck is crow hop, well it stutters from the 12 o'clock point all
the way to about the 3 o'clock point such that for each 1/2 inch the
wiper arm drives the wiper blade across my windshield, it hops a 1/2
inch. Wipe a 1/2 inch, hop the next half inch...

    Wipe/Hop/wipe/Hop
    stutter, stutter.

when a snakes spooks a horse he'll hop stiff legged, they call it crow
hopping, I didn't know what else to call this.

I remember, some time, somewhere reading about a solution to this but
can't locate it now, any pointer, many thanks.
BTW the wipers are BRAND NEW Volvo wipers. My old ones did the same
thing and I *thought* getting new one would fix this but NO.

talks about a wiper problem, but it's not quite the same as yours.
    Still, maybe it will help.

    cheers,

  4. Maybe the wiper arm is bent slightly.

Or Rain-X. This stuff wears unvenly, causing the same sturttering,
    Stick-slip--stick, etc.
