93' 240 check engine light problems

Hello everybody, I had tried taking my volvo in to get smogged today and everything passed but the check engine light would not come on with the key on. I think all of the rest of the dash lights are working but the check engine will not come on. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this? I couldnt really find much info about it, Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
