'93 940 - cruse cntrl question...

my cruse cntrl seems to be wiggin out at times
lately...it "hunts" for the correct speed...then
it just sort of peters out and the car slows down...if
i gentally apply pressure to the gas pedel...it seems to
"catch up" and get back on speed...so...question for the group
is: is there a sensor or servo near the gad pedel that is
involved in the cruse control system? anything to lube or adj
near the pedel..? or, is this a problem for the shop w/the
right analysis tools for electrictal issues...?? thanx..

Mounted on the intake manifold is a vacuum actuator for the cruise
control. It's connected to the throttle pulley by a short cable.
Inspect the condition of this actuator, and follow the hose from it down
to the pump and from there to wherever they lead.
