Seems to have a bit of wear in the drive, leading to bunny hopping and
bounding around when comming on and off the power. Nothing really
serious, just would like the old car to feel less old.

Checking the drive shaft the UJs seem ok, the diff might have a bit of
play but didn't seem unusual. The centre support bearing seems to allow
alot of movement, maybe 5mm side to side.

Any guesses, typical areas? I might do a clutch change in the near
future, along with crank seal etc, is there a drive sleeve that wears
    between Engine and Gearbox?

Focus on the center support bearing, a typical wear item.

There is no "sleeve," there is a splined shaft interfacing with
    gearbox and clutch.
