This car check engine light is on--dealer reset it saying it had something
to do with fuel system --they thought it was the gas cap--they replaced it
and light is on again. Car has 130,000 miles --any ideas on what part of the
fuel system might cause light to come on??

There are dozens of reasons for the light to come on. You need an
OBD-II reader to read the code, so you have some idea why.

Since they replaced the gas cap, chances are there's a problem with the
tank venting system, if the light is even coming on for the same reason.

  3. It may be that the charcoal filter is clogged up.

One of the most frequent problems with older cars is a failure of the fuel
system to pressureize. If the gas cap is loose, that will do it as will a
damaged seal or a pinhole someplace. Check the cap seat and gaskets
carefully for damage or wear as that seems the most likely.
