    Hi,

I recently removed the top cover (dashboard) on my 95' 850 to replace
some bulbs and such....anyway, after I was finished I reconnected the
passenger side airbag, turned the key to position 2 and reconnected
the negative terminal of the battery. Problem is that now the SRS
light will stay on "indefinitely"..... does it have to be reset
somehow, or did I screw up some wiring or something else????

    Thanks!!

That means a fault was detected when the ignition was turned on. Did
you turn the ignition on (to check bulbs) before reconnecting the
airbag? You can read and reset SRS codes like fuel system codes, put
    the lead into B5.

I apologize for bringing up this old thread. I had a similar issue with my vehicle recently; it turns out that the wire connector of the seat belt buckle was disconnected. The seatbelt buckle has a small sensor so whenever it’s disconnected, you will get a fault code. I did a lot of searches on this issue and came across an in-depth article that may be worth reading. Search for "Troubleshooting Volvo SRS Airbag Light Stays On on YOUCANIC" and you will see an article that goes over common causes and possible fixes. You can read about it yourself. I hope this information can assist someone else with a similar issue.
